ONE AND THE SAME OR DOMINION OVER
In this installation of drawings and photos, the title refers to two kinds of relationships between humans and the natural world. One and the Same acknowledges our identification with nature. Dominion Over illustrates the belief that we have a sense of entitlement on earth.
I identify with being part of nature, and have explored themes in this work like cocooning, camouflage, and hybridization - becoming part plant or animal. Domination of nature is revealed here through duality and division.
